Pt Prim Lighthouse, 1998
Located on Route 209 off the TransCanada Highway. Another tourable lighthouse, Pt Prim is the only round brick light in Canada. One of the best times Seema and I had in 2000 was when we explored the tide pools here. It's impossible to describe the magic felt that evening, watching the sea birds feed, as the lighthouse and the setting sun were reflected in the glassy water.

Lighthouse on the Hillsburough River
A boat tour of the Hillsborough River revealed this lighthouse located near Stratford, Prince Edward Island. The tour guide told us the lighthouse might serve as a private residence because they often see clothes waving from a clothesline next to the light.

West Point Lighthouse
In my opinion, one of the loveliest spots on the island is West Point Lighthouse, and its surrounding provincial park. It is located in south-western PEI, where you are in walking distance of both a sandy pink beach and a balmy spruce forest.

Cape Bear Lighthouse
Cape Bear is located in a beautiful spot among a dark spruce forest in eastern PEI. It overlooks Nova Scotia, and is an excellent place to view seals and whales, among other things. In 1912 it was the first to receive distress signals from the Titanic. A museum is located in the lighhouse.
