Silver Bush
This is the home of the Pat Gardener. (Pat of Silver Bush, Mistress Pat) Before it was Silver Bush, it was the home of Maud's Aunt Annie Campbell and her family. Maud visted here many times as child and into adulthood, and was even married in the Campbell's parlour. LMM loved this home, calling it the "wonder castle of my childhood." It's open for tours as the "Anne of Green Gables Museum".

Lake of Shining Waters, 1996
Located in Park Corner, PEI, LMM identified this pond as the one that inspired "Anne's" Lake of Shinning Waters. This was taken from a carriage, and looks toward "Montgomery Manor", the home of Senator Montgomery, Maud's Grandfather. It's also open for tours and is a must for any true LMM fan

The Pulpit Stone
The first thing you'll see at Montgomery Manor is this huge rock in their front yard. It's the "pulpit stone" made famous in The Story Girl and The Golden Road. I think it needs to be stood up on its side to look like it is described in the book.

Four Winds?
This area was identified as the location of Four Winds (Anne's House of Dreams). Can't you just see Anne and Gilbert walking along the shore towards the lighthouse? The lighthouse, by the way, is the Cape Tryon Light, located between near New London on the north shore.

New Moon
Ruth Cmpbell, who owns "Silver Bush" says that family traditon identifies this house as the inspiration for "New Moon". It once belonged to Maud's Aunt Emily Montgomery, whom Maud visited often in her youth. Click here for more information.
